PCIS’ data migration services and advanced claims technology key to MTA decision

New York, NY – March 7th, 2019P&C Insurance Systems, Inc. (PCIS), a proven and trusted provider of claims management software and risk management information systems, RMIS, today announced that the State of Maryland’s Transit Administration Office of Safety, Quality Assurance, & Risk Management, under MDOT, has selected PCIS’ ClaimsVISION®.  PCIS was cited as MTA’s first choice, stating to the State Board of Public Works that “(PCIS) offered a technical proposal that provides a superior data migration plan and high-caliber software”.

Migration services are an integral component of this project as MTA currently uses a number of different systems today, comprised of more than 30 databases and 485 tables of legacy data which will be consolidated into a single system. Data will be centralized and migrated into ClaimsVISION SaaS platform to administer MTA’s liability, property, and bodily injury claims. The MTA will utilize ClaimsVISION claims management software to efficiently store, track, manage and resolve its approximately 5,400 incidents per year resulting from the transit system including CityLink, LocalLink, Commuter Buses, Light RailLink, Metro SubwayLink, Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) Train Service, and Paratransit (MobilityLink).

Key benefits The MTA will enjoy from ClaimsVISION include:

  • Complex data migration from a legacy environment comprised of multiple applications, databases, and hundreds of tables
  • Automated Compliance reporting for CMS Medicare, ISO Claim Search,
  • Data exchanging with various vehicle and asset management systems
  • Web Intake, litigation, payments, intelligent reporting

“With this latest win, ClaimsVISION has solidified its position as one of the fastest growing Claims Management and RMIS platforms in the Transportation & Logistics Industry,” noted Georgette Loizou, PCIS executive vice president. “In an era marked by cut-rate technology providers, it is vital to note that there are still full-service shops with core competency in complex data conversions and data environment modernization.”
